Boeing had agreed to acquire Embraer’s commercial aviation division for US$4.2 billion, taking an 80% stake, and then terminated the deal in April 2020.

An arbitration concluded in September 2024 with Boeing paying US$150 million to Embraer; Embraer will focus on its existing portfolio and on the eVTOL from Eve Air Mobility, which it expects to certify towards the end of 2028, and the CEO said the company will keep working well with the current government and move forward.
