On 8 October King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was closed after a missile struck a parked Saudia Airbus on the apron, causing a fire, according to reports from both aerotelegraph.com and airporthaber2.com.

The incident delayed 58 departures and cancelled 11 flights, including Saudia services to Dubai and Turkish Airlines flights to Istanbul, and halted airport operations for about two hours; Saudi air‑defence systems intercepted missiles heading for the city, and no passengers, casualties or injuries were reported on the aircraft, though officials have not confirmed whether the fire resulted from a direct hit, falling debris or another cause.
