A 28‑year‑old passenger, Abidai López Solís, was found dead on a Volaris flight numbered 3358 that landed at Tapachula International Airport on the morning of 7 October.

After landing, crew and other passengers noticed Solís had not left his seat and could not be awakened; medical staff declared him dead on the aircraft. No in‑flight medical emergency was reported and the plane did not make an emergency landing. A preliminary examination indicated heart and respiratory arrest, possibly from natural causes, and his body was removed under prosecutor supervision and sent to a forensic institute. Solís, a resident of Acacoyagua, Chiapas, was traveling to visit family.
