CAA survey shows modest passenger growth and higher satisfaction in 2025

The UK Civil Aviation Authority interviewed roughly 175,000 departing passengers at eight of England’s busiest airports, reporting that 225 million passengers travelled through those airports, a 2% increase on the previous year.

Overall passenger satisfaction rose to 8.39 out of 10 from 8.36 in 2024. Public‑transport use to airports increased to 38% while private‑mode use fell to 62%; London City Airport had 66% of passengers arriving by public transport, up one point, and Stansted Airport had 48%, also up one point.
