Air India and Akasa Air announced increased fuel surcharges for both domestic and international flights, with domestic surcharges applying to new bookings from October 9.

The international surcharge amounts will differ by destination, and the changes come as aviation turbine fuel prices have risen by about ₹16 per litre since October 1.
