Frontier readies first ex‑Spirit Airbus A321neo for delivery

Frontier Airlines is preparing to receive its first former Spirit Airlines Airbus A321neo, tail‑number N731NK, which will be re‑registered as N814FR.

The aircraft, a 2024‑built A321neo powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, was delivered to Spirit in July 2024, ferried from Marana to Tucson on 28 September 2024, and is configured with eight Big Front Seats and 227 standard seats. Frontier has signed a lease with AerCap for ten ex‑Spirit A321neos, with deliveries expected between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.
