Porter-backed Montreal Metropolitan Airport opens new $450 million terminal
On 15 June 2026 Montreal Metropolitan Airport (YHU) opened a new commercial terminal costing $450 million.
The 226,000‑square‑foot facility includes nine boarding bridges, a 900‑seat passenger lounge and can handle up to 15,000 passengers per day during peak periods, and is located about 15 km from downtown Montreal on the South Shore.
