Ryanair will not operate flights from Leipzig/Halle and Dresden in the summer of 2027 after negotiations ended without an agreement.

The airline remains in talks about possible winter 2027/28 services and points to a German air‑traffic tax of about €13 per passenger, along with high security and airport fees, as cost factors, while the average ticket price in its European network is €46; MFAG said it offered economically up to its limit and posted a €10.5 million surplus in 2025.
