Ryanair announced it will cease operations at Bremen Airport from April 2027 and will withdraw four aircraft from its Vienna base, cancelling twelve routes for the 2026 winter schedule.

Bremen Airport expects a loss of about 320,000 seats in November and December and the withdrawal will affect roughly 400,000 passengers annually, with seven aircraft currently stationed at Bremen to be moved abroad; Lufthansa plans to operate one daily Frankfurt‑Bremen flight in the summer of 2027.

Bremen intends to appoint a rehabilitation manager to tighten its cost‑cutting programme following the Ryanair exit.
