Eight Indian airports suspend Russia‑related cargo, leaving 150 t of exports stranded

Eight Indian airports, including both Mumbai facilities, have temporarily stopped handling shipments destined for Russia, leaving about 150 tonnes of Indian exports for Russia stranded over the past week.

Delhi Airport, which is not operated by Adani, continues to receive Russia flights such as those by Aeroflot, and a Volga‑Dnepr charter was rerouted there after being denied access to Navi Mumbai, where its cargo has now been held for two weeks. Container carriers have halted bookings from India to Novorossiysk over security concerns, while MSC and CMA CGM are limiting services to St Petersburg. Malta‑based Challenge Group has paused its Mumbai operations, citing operational readiness issues, after previously running twice‑weekly flights from Mumbai to destinations including Liege, Tel Aviv, the United States and South America.
