The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) has recommended fines for Korean Air, Asiana Airlines and Jin Air for offering less than 90 percent of 2019 seat capacity on the Cheongju–Jeju route between 12 December 2024 and 31 December 2025.

The regulator also recommended rejecting a joint application by Korean Air, Asiana, Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul to lower the capacity threshold on Seoul‑Incheon–Guam and Busan–Guam to 70 percent of 2019 levels, and noted earlier fines of 6.5 billion Korean Won for Korean Air and Asiana on Seoul‑Incheon–Frankfurt where capacity fell to 69.5 percent of 2019 levels.
