More than 1,200 aircrew members, including pilots and co‑pilots, from countries without diplomatic ties such as Syria, Lebanon and Oman have entered Israel since the start of the year.

A Transportation Ministry representative said the figures were surprising and asked for further clarification, while Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Boaz Bismuth said the face of civil aviation in Israel will change from today and ordered all relevant agencies to complete internal reviews and provide clear answers, with the committee continuing to monitor the issue.

Flydubai is considering extending the suspension of its flights to Israel beyond October 15.
