Lufthansa and SWISS expand Japan services for summer 2027

Lufthansa will resume seasonal Frankfurt‑Nagoya flights and launch a daily Frankfurt‑Tokyo Narita service in March 2027, while SWISS plans to increase Zurich‑Narita frequencies for the summer season.
SWISS Zurich‑Narita increase
SWISS will operate six weekly flights on the Zurich–Tokyo Narita route from 1 June 2027 to 30 September 2027 using Boeing 777‑300ER aircraft. The airline had filed a daily flight for the periods 28 March 2027 – 31 May 2027 and 1 October 2027 – 30 October 2027, and previously operated five weekly flights on the route.
Other reports state that SWISS will offer up to seven weekly flights between Zurich and Tokyo Narita during the summer 2027 season.
Lufthansa Frankfurt‑Nagoya resume
Lufthansa will resume its Frankfurt–Nagoya service on a seasonal basis in summer 2027, operating three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Outbound flight LH736 departs Frankfurt at 14:10 on 29 March 2027 and arrives in Nagoya the following day at 09:35 local time. Return flight LH737 departs Nagoya at 11:30 and arrives in the Rhine‑Main metropolitan area at 18:30 local time.
The Frankfurt–Nagoya route will be operated with Boeing 787‑9 aircraft.
Lufthansa Frankfurt‑Narita daily
Lufthansa will launch a daily Frankfurt–Tokyo Narita service starting 28 March 2027. Flight LH710 departs Frankfurt at 13:45 (or 1:45 p.m.) and arrives in Narita the next morning at 09:30. Return flight LH711 leaves Narita at 11:20 and lands in Frankfurt at 18:40.
The Frankfurt–Narita service will also be operated with Boeing 787‑9 aircraft, each configured with 28 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 231 Economy seats (total 287 seats).
