American Airlines plans to open its largest Admirals Club lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, with a size of more than 40,000 square feet, and construction will begin this year while existing lounges remain open.

Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden said the new lounge will give customers more space to relax, work and recharge, and Senior Vice President of CLT Operations Ralph Lopez Massas said it will become the largest in the airline’s global network.
