The state of Santa Catarina will subsidise a new air network costing about USD 4.5 million per year, using Florianópolis as the hub and serving nine interior cities.

Seven of the nine destinations – Blumenau, Caçador, Correia Pinto, Criciúma/Forquilhinha, Joaçaba, Joinville and Lages – will have direct flights to the capital, while Jaguaruna will connect only to Joinville and São Miguel do Oeste will connect only to Correia Pinto, which is 27 km from Lages and serves as a link to Congonhas in São Paulo after a roughly 10‑hour drive from Florianópolis.
