Criminal charges
Dennis William Day, described as Soluri’s roommate and longtime friend, was arrested in June 2025 and charged with murder. He is alleged to have strangled Soluri and dumped her body after transporting it about 104 km to Bowie, Texas, where it was placed in a river under a bridge. Joni Thomas, 63, was charged with tampering with evidence for assisting Day in moving the body.
Aftermath
A janazah ceremony for Soluri was held in Richardson, and American Airlines arranged transport of her remains to Seattle.
