Eligibility and restrictions
The option is limited to U.S. AAdvantage members booking domestic cash flights on American, excluding flights to and from Alaska and Hawaii, and members can choose how many miles to redeem.
Conversion rate and rollout
American has not disclosed a fixed mileage‑to‑cash conversion rate for the new option and has not given a single launch day for all members.
