75-year-old passenger arrested after bomb claim on Er Srbija flight in Split
A passenger claimed a bomb on the Er Srbija flight from Split to Belgrade, later said he was joking; the aircraft was evacuated, inspected and the flight was delayed.
Bomb claim and evacuation
The flight was scheduled to depart at 15:20. The passenger made the bomb claim around 15:25 while the aircraft was still on the ground. The aircraft was evacuated and passengers were asked to leave by the pilot around 15:40. Split‑Dalmatian police conducted an anti‑explosive check of the aircraft, passengers and baggage and found no explosive device.
Police action and delay
Police arrested the 75‑year‑old passenger. The aircraft was emptied, inspected and the flight was delayed by three hours before landing at Belgrade.
