Lufthansa and Fra‑Alliance announce Gate of the Future renovation at Frankfurt Gate A16

Lufthansa and Fra‑Alliance announced the Gate of the Future project on LinkedIn, referring to the renovation of Gate A16 in Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport, which was under renovation in mid‑August.

The renovation removed the usual long service desks, replacing them with a small side workstation, and installed two large LED walls at the gate; a covered pillar was placed in front of the gate with a notice that something "magical" would happen if touched, while Auracast Bluetooth testing continued at adjacent Gate A17 and Auracast reception at Gate A16 was disabled.
