Emirates SkyCargo introduced seven weekly freighter frequencies in South America since March and received seven Boeing 777 aircraft, including its first 777-300ER SF converted from a passenger plane, with the dedicated freighter fleet expected to reach 23 aircraft by the end of March 2027.

The expansion helped drive export growth of 57% in Argentina, 22% in Brazil, 18% in Colombia and 14% in Ecuador, with Brazil seeing a 22% increase in the first half of fiscal 2026/2027; between April and October the carrier moved more than 22,000 tonnes of export cargo, an 18% rise year‑on‑year, and has transported almost 20,000 tonnes of export cargo from Brazil and about 80,000 tonnes of perishables – including 66,000 tonnes of flowers – from four South American markets since April 2024.
