Wizz Air reports strong August traffic and outlines 2030 growth targets

Wizz Air carried 8.7 million passengers in August, a 26% increase from a year earlier, and cut its planned winter capacity by 5% in September.

The airline targets a fleet of about 335 aircraft by 2030, up from 276 currently, and aims to transport 127 million passengers annually, generate €10 billion in revenue and achieve a 10% EBIT margin. At the end of June it had 27 aircraft grounded for Pratt & Whitney GTF inspections, down from 41 a year earlier, and expects 15–20 grounded by the end of the financial year and none by the end of 2027; it reported a net loss of €198.2 million in Q2 2026.
