The Netherlands will produce a fleet of 12 H225M Caracal helicopters for its special forces, with testing set to begin in 2028 and the first delivery expected in early 2030, while full delivery is scheduled for 2032.

The original plan for 14 helicopters was reduced to 12 due to budget constraints, and nine of the aircraft can be equipped with mission systems at the same time, with a configuration that enables interoperability with F‑35, Embraer C‑390M and other NATO platforms.
