Rail services RE2, RE3 and S8 rerouted around Frankfurt Airport in October and November

From 23 October at 21:00 until the morning of 26 October, RE2 and RE3 between Frankfurt and Mainz will travel via Frankfurt‑Höchst, bypassing Rüsselsheim and the airport.

During the nights of 9 to 14 November, S8 will be rerouted between 22:00 and 04:00 via the Frankfurt Airport long‑distance station with a bus replacement between Raunheim and Gateway Gardens, and no S8 will run between the long‑distance station and Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof on the nights of 12–13 and 13–14 November; additionally, RE3 will not stop at the airport during those nights. Deutsche Bahn will provide replacement traffic between Mainz Hauptbahnhof and Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof and between Mainz and Gateway Gardens, as part of the Mainz junction renovation that began at the end of 2025 and remains on schedule.
