American Airlines to install Starlink on entire fleet starting early 2027

American Airlines will begin installing Starlink Performance Aero Terminals on its entire fleet in early 2027, covering more than 1,000 narrow‑body Airbus and Boeing aircraft as well as wide‑body Boeing jets.

Each terminal can provide speeds of up to one gigabit per second, and the program expands on a prior plan to equip over 500 Airbus aircraft, with the number of equipped planes expected to increase as the airline adds more than 300 new aircraft in the coming years.
