Delta CEO Ed Bastian said there will be no major changes to the 2024 SkyMiles loyalty program and described Medallion status as very easy to earn through partner relationships.

He clarified that Uber and T‑Mobile do not count toward status qualification, while a Hyatt partnership announced in September provides extra SkyMiles for qualifying hotel stays to Medallion members and Hyatt points for qualifying Delta flights to eligible Hyatt elites; American Express paid Delta $8.2 billion in 2025 under their partnership and Delta reported a 39% margin on SkyMiles that year.
