The Netherlands has begun production of 12 H225M Caracal helicopters for its special forces, with testing slated to start in 2028 and the first aircraft expected for delivery in early 2030.

The fleet, reduced from an originally planned 14, will be fully delivered by 2032; nine of the helicopters can be equipped with mission equipment at the same time and will be able to exchange information with platforms such as the F‑35 and the Embraer C‑390M while operating alongside the Air Mobile Brigade, the Marine Corps and the Army.
