Trelew airport Almirante Marcos A. Zar completed its first air export of 18 tons of Pacific salmon to the United States, as announced by mayor Gerardo Merino.

The shipment, inspected by Aduana and SENASA, was moved by land to Trelew by Transporte Vesperini, loaded onto an Aerolíneas Argentinas Cargo Boeing 737 and departed for Ezeiza before continuing to Miami; the operation aims to scale up to three weekly export flights and involved the Chubut government and the provincial Agency of Investments and Foreign Trade.
