Paul Abbott is leaving his role as CEO of Amex GBT after seven years, and Drew Crawley will take over as CEO effective this week.

The change follows the acquisition completed on 29 September that took the group private, with Abbott remaining at Long Lake as an operating partner. Crawley, who has been with Amex GBT for six years leading commercial functions and expanded his duties in early 2026 to include global operations and technology, brings more than 25 years of experience in travel, aviation, logistics and loyalty, and Long Lake plans to integrate its artificial‑intelligence capabilities into Amex GBT’s technology platform.
