Travel booking site Skyticket disables credit‑card payments after data breach

Skyticket, a travel booking website, suffered a third‑party unauthorized access that exposed personal data such as names, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers, postal codes, full addresses, hashed passwords and payer names used for transfers, but no credit‑card numbers.

Following the breach, Skyticket halted payments made with stored credit cards, temporarily disabled the feature that saves credit‑card information and took its website offline.

Why it matters

The outage and suspension of credit‑card payments disrupt travel selling on the platform.
