LATAM Airlines Brazil receives first Embraer E195‑E2, plans fleet expansion

LATAM Airlines Brasil and Embraer began the delivery of the first E195‑E2 at Embraer’s plant in São José dos Campos, São Paulo on Thursday 8.

LATAM will add up to 14 E195‑E2 aircraft between November 2027 and March 2027 to serve 42 domestic routes, introducing new routes, increasing frequencies on existing markets and partially replacing Airbus types. Six routes will gain capacity, including seven extra flights to Cascavel, four to Palmas, 28 to Uberlândia and four to Uberaba, while Rio de Janeiro‑Galeão‑Curitiba and Porto Alegre‑Curitiba will rise from 14 to 21 weekly flights each. The main hub at Guarulhos will host most of the deployment, with Curitiba becoming the second E2 node after receiving two new routes and higher frequencies from Galeão and Porto Alegre.
