Alma Air began commercial flights between Medellín and Guatapé using a Cessna 208 Caravan amphibious aircraft.

The trips last 15 to 20 minutes, carry six passengers plus two pilots, and have a payload limit of 450 kilograms per flight. The aircraft needs 600 to 900 meters of water surface for take‑off and landing, and launch fares are 3,496,000 pesos for a one‑way trip and 5,688,000 pesos for a same‑day round trip, charged per aircraft. Rupert Stebbings became CEO of Alma Air in October 2024.

Alma Air also plans future routes to Ayapel, Mompox, Calima, Hidroituango, Atrato, the Pacific coast and the Caribbean.
