Wellington Airport achieved a perfect 100‑out‑of‑100 score in the Infrastructure Asset Assessment, placing it equal first among 566 participating entities worldwide.

The assessment, which covered 18 global airports and six in Australasia, noted a 29% reduction in gross emissions since 2017 and a 77% drop in scope 1 and 2 emissions when certified renewable energy is included; locally, 68% of Wellingtonians view the airport favourably or very favourably, 8% view it negatively, and 77% support more flights.
