Northwestern State University gets $1.2 million FAA grant to expand drone training

Northwestern State University received a $1.2 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to expand its unmanned aircraft systems training programs.

The funding will be used to purchase new equipment, hire additional instructors and broaden courses for more students, with the expanded programs offered at the university’s Natchitoches and Shreveport campuses.
