Maldivian introduced Journey+, a new range of optional travel services for passengers, with Phase 1 offering Journey+ Premier (priority check‑in and baggage handling), Journey+ Bites (pre‑ordered snack and beverage combo), Journey+ Bags (advance purchase of extra baggage at preferential rates), Journey+ Relax (access to selected lounges) and Journey+ Upgrade (opportunity to upgrade to a higher cabin class on select international flights, subject to availability).

The services can be bought through the Maldivian Call Centre, Viber, WhatsApp, ticketing offices, passenger sales agents and general sales agents up to 24 hours before departure, and Phase 2 will add seat selection and other options to give passengers greater control over their travel experience.
