Saudi allies withdrew from a key location near the Bab al‑Mandeb Strait and Houthi forces replied with airstrikes on a Saudi airport, reported as being in the southern province of Jazan by one source and at Riyadh airport by another.

The Saudi‑led coalition later said it recaptured the Bab al‑Mandeb area north of Dubaab and deployed about 100 aircraft in the operation, while Houthi statements claimed control of Taiz and surrounding supply routes.
