Pakistan International Airlines opened recruitment for cabin‑crew positions at its Karachi base, inviting applications online until 7 October 2026. Candidates must be aged 20 to 28, hold at least a bachelor’s degree, and be based in Karachi or willing to relocate. Minimum height is 160 cm for females and 168 cm for males, and holders of valid flying or cabin‑crew authorisation will receive preference.
Fuel price surge
Airlines in Pakistan indicated they may raise ticket fares after jet fuel prices increased sharply. One report said jet fuel rose by more than Rs 9 per litre between 1 October and 3 October, reaching Rs 355.52 per litre. Another report stated the increase was Rs 9.5 over the same three‑day period, also bringing the price to Rs 355.52 per litre.
During the same period, the price of petrol rose by Rs 2.10 per litre to Rs 392.76 per litre, and the price of kerosene oil was fixed at Rs 329.54 per litre.
