IndiGo raises fuel surcharge for third time this year

Fuel surcharge increase
IndiGo announced that fuel charges across its domestic and international network will be raised for the third time this year, with the revised charges applying to all new bookings made from 0001 hours on 6 October 2026.
The airline noted that the month‑on‑month increase in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices has exceeded 14%.
Domestic charges
Domestic fuel charges will range from INR 375 to INR 1,300 per sector.
For domestic flights up to 500 km the charge is INR 375; for flights of 1,501–2,000 km the charge is INR 1,150; and for flights above 2,000 km the charge is INR 1,300.
International charges
International fuel charges will range from INR 1,000 for SAARC routes up to 500 km to INR 3,000 for longer SAARC routes.
Charges are INR 5,500 for Southeast Asia, GCC and Middle East, and North and East Asia routes; INR 6,000 for Africa routes; and INR 10,000 for Europe routes.
Overall, international fuel charges will fall between INR 1,000 and INR 10,000.
