Turkish Airlines and AJet flights were suspended at the occupied Tymbou airport because of damage to the runway lighting system, and the suspension was announced by the Civil Aviation Authority and the president of the Association of Air Traffic Controllers, Kursat Huda‑verdioglu.

At Ercan Airport the lighting rate fell to 88 percent, civil aviation manager Hayran Bolkan said the issue was resolved and flights would continue, but eight Turkish Airlines flights were cancelled and Turkish Airlines and AJet flights were stopped while Pegasus kept operating.
