On 9 November at about 11:15 a small monomotor aircraft crashed into the maintenance yard of the Belo Horizonte subway, killing the pilot who was the sole occupant.

The aircraft, identified as an Embraer (Neiva) EMB‑711ST Corisco II Turbo registered PT‑VHE and owned by Bello Fruit Importação e Exportação Ltda., had a valid airworthiness certificate until 9 October 2027 and had departed from Pampulha Airport; firefighters responded with six vehicles and a building in the complex was evacuated, while metro service continued and power was shut off only in the yard area.
