Bristol Airport generated more than 1.7 million kWh of renewable energy in 2026, a 20 percent increase on 2025, enough to power around 680 homes for a year, and it operates a 1.5‑megawatt solar farm south of the runway.

The airport’s £10 million energy centre, which uses electrically powered air‑source heat pumps to heat and cool the terminal, is scheduled to become operational later this year, and the airport has set an interim target to cut carbon emissions by 73 percent by 2027.
