The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln arrived back in San Diego, California on 8 October after a deployment lasting more than 10 months, described as one of the longest in decades.

The carrier strike group operated across the Indian Ocean‑Pacific and the Middle East, spending 265 continuous days at sea, and, according to Pete Hegseth, sank 64 Iranian warships, destroyed 21 anti‑ship missiles, flew nearly 3,700 combat sorties and launched 450 Tomahawk cruise missiles.
