American Express to open largest Centurion Lounge in Newark and expand others
American Express announced a new Centurion Lounge at Newark Airport Terminal A covering more than 30,000 square feet, the largest in its network, with an opening slated for 2027. The company also plans a second Centurion Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 5 of 9,000 square feet, scheduled to open in 2028.
The Philadelphia lounge will double its footprint from 6,000 to over 12,000 square feet, closing temporarily on October 16, 2026, with renovations completing by the end of 2027.
