Austin‑Bergstrom starts Concourse M construction and ramp expansion

Austin‑Bergstrom International Airport has broken ground on Concourse M, a 37,500‑square‑foot facility on the west side of the airfield that will serve six narrow‑body aircraft with four contact gates and two walk‑out gates, and passengers will be shuttled to the Barbara Jordan Terminal by bus.

The project also includes a Maintenance Ramp Expansion adding six aircraft parking positions—four equipped with boarding bridges and two for ground‑loading—expected to be completed in 2027, with the FAA providing more than $9 million in grant support, and Concourse M slated to open as early as 2028 as part of the Journey With AUS program estimated at over $5 billion.
