Menzies Aviation began a refugee training program this week at its training school in Uganda with a first cohort of 12 participants who will study for either the IATA Airline Customer Service Diploma or the IATA Cargo Introductory Diploma, followed by three months of training and subsequent internships in operational areas at Entebbe International Airport, with potential employment depending on positions, operational needs, performance and qualifications.

The initiative is part of Menzies Aviation’s broader refugee employment strategy, which has already supported employment opportunities for more than 120 refugees worldwide.
