LATAM Brazil takes delivery of first Embraer E195‑E2 jet

LATAM Airlines Brazil received its first Embraer E195‑E2 aircraft, beginning a program to add new aircraft and expand its domestic network.
First aircraft delivery
LATAM Airlines Brazil began the delivery process of its first Embraer E195‑E2 in São José dos Campos, with the aircraft expected to enter commercial operation between November 2026 and March 2027. The aircraft will be incorporated into the fleet in the next few days after customs clearance, cabin interior approval and certification with Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
Fleet acquisition plan
LATAM’s order for the type varies by source: up to 74 E195‑E2s have been reported, with a firm commitment for 24 aircraft and options for another 50, while other reports cite 12 aircraft to be received by year‑end 2026 and 12 by the end of 2026. One source states the first aircraft is the first of 12 E195‑E2s expected by year‑end, and another notes the first of 14 aircraft scheduled between November 2026 and March 2027.
Network expansion
LATAM aims to serve more than 70 Brazilian airports by 2027, up from 63 currently served. The first 14 E195‑E2s are planned for 42 domestic routes, including eight new routes and four new destinations: Cabo Frio, Macaé, Ji‑Paraná and Rondonópolis. The airline expects to add up to eighteen new destinations with the E195‑E2 by 2027.
