LOT Polish Airlines launched a direct Warsaw‑Chopin to Bangkok‑Suvarnabhumi flight on 7 October, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, ending a multi‑decade absence from the route (more than 20 years per source 1, 26 years per source 2).

The service starts with three weekly flights and is scheduled to increase to six flights per week from 2 November (source 1). It will operate year‑round with higher frequencies in winter and three weekly flights planned for summer 2027 (source 2).

The new link is expected to strengthen LOT’s presence in Asia, offer passengers a faster, more convenient route to Thailand, consolidate Poland‑Thailand relations and reinforce Warsaw as a transit hub for Central European travelers (source 2).

Why it matters

The route enhances LOT’s Asian network and positions Warsaw as a key hub for Central European passengers traveling to Asia.
