Emirates May convert its 35‑Aircraft Boeing 787 order to additional 777X jets

Emirates holds orders for 35 Boeing 787 aircraft, split into 20 787‑8s and 15 787‑10s, alongside a separate order for 270 Boeing 777X jets, and the airline’s Deputy President and COO said the option to convert the 787 order to more 777X remains on the table.
The carrier received its first Airbus A350‑900 in 2024 and expects its first 777‑9 to arrive in the second quarter of 2027, while deliveries of the 787s would not begin until the end of 2029 if the order is retained.
