FAA issues new AD for Boeing 787‑8/9/10 requiring actuator replacement and AFM changes

The FAA has superseded AD 2019‑20‑07 with a new airworthiness directive that applies to Boeing 787‑8, 787‑9 and 787‑10 airplanes.

The directive mandates replacing the leading‑edge outboard geared rotary actuator with a leading‑edge outboard lockout actuator, revising the airplane flight manual to prohibit flap retraction under icing conditions after landing, and performing a new operational check of the leading‑edge outboard slats, while retaining all other requirements of the previous AD and removing certain airplanes from its applicability.
