The official SpotLAX event kicked off Friday at 4 p.m. at the H Overlook by the H Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport, reaching its capacity of about 200 people.

A Saturday morning Dorkfest ramp tour showcased five aircraft—including a United 787, Southwest 1776, American AirCal 737, Delta 100‑year A321neo, and an unpainted 747‑400F—behind the Flight Path Museum, attracting roughly 500 AvGeeks, while more than 1,000 visitors gathered at the Airplane Viewing View Park near In‑N‑Out; activities featured a DJ, donuts, bus tours, volunteer therapy dogs, and a rocket launch, and the weekend ran until about 11 a.m. on Sunday with a final spotting organized by JetTip at Imperial Hill.
