easyJet’s Price Index shows that booking a package holiday saves an average of £328 compared with arranging travel independently, with up to £378 saved on travel alone, according to a study of 2,000 British respondents.

The study cites specific examples where an easyJet package to Paris costs £329 versus £619 for separate flights and accommodation, and a Milan package costs £383 versus £693 for the same components, each including a 23 kg luggage allowance; it also notes that 53 % of surveyed travellers prefer spending on holiday experiences rather than paying more for DIY trips, and that combining package travel with European luxury retail savings could unlock total combined savings of up to £1,724.
